Purpose of the Course

This course set provides participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to perform a rescue from a live low voltage (LV) electrical apparatus in an electrical industry environment. It includes the new industry standard unit UETDRMP018 Perform Rescue from a Live Low Voltage Panel and covers the inspection and use of live LV panel rescue equipment and is crucial for ensuring workplace safety and compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations. This unit does not cover overhead lines and underground cables.

It also includes the Workplace CPR unit HLTAID009 Provide CPR which is a pre-requisite for anyone wanting to undertake LVR training, so you can complete both in one, convienient, hands on training session.

Target Market

This course is designed for electricity supply industry (ESI) workers, electrical industry workers, and any other personnel who may be required to respond to an electrical incident and perform a rescue from a live LV panel.

Prerequisites

Participants are required to hold a current HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation certificate. For your convenience, we offer LVR and CPR as a combined course set, allowing you to complete both units together.
