Onsite First Aid Training FAQ’s
Is there a minimum number?
We’re flexible. We prefer having 6 or more staff to train, but can train less than 6 with our Fastrack courses for a small additional fee.
How Many Staff Should I Train
That depends on you. The minimum recommended is 1 in 50 for low risk workplaces, 1 in 25 for high risk workplaces, and 1 in 10 for high risk remote workplaces. But what if your first aider is on holidays, you have multiple shifts, or staff work by themselves? After considering these questions many businesses have decided to train more than this bare minimum.
Comprehensive or Fastrack?
We have to great course options. Fastrack is great for experienced first aiders or time poor businesses. Comprehensive is great for those who can take more time. It is a more in-depth course that deep dives into common scenarios and helps you grow confidence.
What Course Do My Staff Need
Generally, a first aider in the workplace will need to successfully complete HLTAID011 Provide First Aid every 36 months, and HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation every 12 months. Different industries may have other requirements. to learn more and watch a video click here.
