Annual Compliance Requirements

Refresher training is recommended to demonstrate compliance with Regulation 84 of the Education and Care Services National Law and Education and Care Services National Regulations and Quality Area 2 of the National Quality Standard. Refresher training is designed to assist the participant in demonstrating up-to-date knowledge of the laws and their obligations to meet the requirements of Regulation 84.

Regulation 84 Awareness of child protection law states “The approved provider of an education and care service must ensure that nominated supervisors and staff members at the service who work with children are advised of—

  1. (a) the existence and application of the current child protection law; and
  2. (b) any obligations that they may have under that law.”

If you are a designated Mandatory Reporter, you are required by law to report suspected child abuse and neglect to government authorities. Are you confident in identifying the indicators of abuse and neglect and how to report these concerns?
